What is IP66 Water/Dust Protection and why is this important?

These cables are designed for both indoor and outdoor charging. You will see lower rated cheaper chargers elsewhere but these are not well sealed and are better for indoor charging only. 

Dust: Ingress of dust is totally prevented from entering the unit.

Water: Protected from powerful water spray from any direction.

In Use

• The main charging box and cable should be kept out of puddles but can be kept outside in the rain.
• Please remember to use the rubber cover to keep moisture from the connector when not in use. The vehicle will not charge if it senses moisture.
